Love it or loathe it, it’s Presidential Election season. As fundraisers we can all learn something by observing how each candidate’s team is engaging – and activating – donors this season. If you’re not following the candidates you are missing out on a great educational experience.
Think about it, political candidates have budgets we can only dream about and a mandate to TEST, TEST, TEST content, tactics and message.
So, because we love our friends in the nonprofit sector, we’ve taken the plunge and donated to most of the 2016 Presidential candidates. The team here at Charity Dynamics studied the candidate’s websites, struggled through their donation user experience (UX) and even watched the acceptance and concession speeches from the New Hampshire Primary to assess their ability to use multiple channels.
